Day 146
Today was a bit ambitious on my part. There is a Maine 4000fter 1.7 miles off trail today, Mt Abraham. We already hit two 4000fters today but I figured since I'm up here I might as well.
I was the only one who wanted to so I started hiking pretty fast today to get ahead. It was a beautiful day so I figured any time I can spend above treeline is worth it.
It was pretty smooth the first mile, but I dropped my pack and ran up the final .7 rock scramble
We also hit the peaks of Spaulding and Sugarloaf today to make it 6 peaks over 4000ft for me in Maine.
At the end of the day we hit 2000 miles!
We cut the day a mile short and decided to camp next to the river.
Happy Trails 🌲
