Day 142
Walking through Maine at the end of a NOBO thru-hike makes you feel like a celebrity. All the southbounders want to talk because you've hiked almost 2000 miles. Day hikers recognize the tag and cheer you on as you walk by. All day we hear "Almost there" "You're so close". We also are definitely hitting the sobo bubble. Today I saw 10+ people hiking south.
Heading up and over Bald Pate was gorgeous today! Last October, two of my last tramily got married up here!
We had 14 miles to hike today, and it was pretty easy hiking terrain. Tonight we are at the Hall Mountain Shelter at mile 1946.
Happy Trails 🌲
