Day 141

These Maine trails are no joke. The Mahoosuc Notch took us two hours to complete.

It was a series of rocky caves and traverses that were very slow moving. We had to take off our packs and hand them to each other a few times. Deep in the crevaces, there was snow and ice still.

Heading up the Mahoosuc Arm was also sketchy, it was a large rock slab with great views. I summited Old Spec which is my 1st 4000fter in Maine and my 50th overall! There are 67 in the northeast between NH VT and Maine.

It was an exhausting 10 mile day for us and we were pretty tired when we got to camp.

Happy Trails 🌲
