Day 138
Thankfully I had some awesome run club friends who were willing to drive up and hike with us today. Chris, Alison and Dan drove up to give us a ride to the trailhead and hike for a bit.
We made the decision to skip the northern presidentials for now due to weather concerns. It's also very hard to get up to Washington. Hiccup will just have to come up later and hike those peaks with us at a later date.
They hiked up with us to the Carter Notch Hut before turning around.
We had a long day of hiking all the way to the Rattle River Shelter.
We had great views on Moriah and met a few cool Sobos at the shelter. It's very weird meeting southbounders on trail, you say hello, introduce yourself, then say goodbye forever. They're only 300 miles into their journey and we're 1900 miles.
Happy Trails 🌲
