Day 124-126

Had a very hard time sleeping last night. There was an intense thunderstorm, and it was so loud it kept me awake until 1:00am. We were getting up at 5:00am to start hiking before the heat really kicked in for the day.

We had 15 miles to Hanover and to get into NH! Really wanted to get there and take a zero tomorrow so we hauled ass. Didn't take too many pictures

When we got to Hanover, me Hiccup, Tama and Old School went to eat at Mollies. They had $3 margaritas and some good food too. We were waiting for Nick's grandma and sister to come pick us up.

We got picked up and brought to Claremont NH where were showered, did laundry and set up for the night at Nick's Grandmas.

We told stories the rest of the night and were excited for our zero day.

Day 125

Woke up to terrible news. Nicks mom works for a dentist office and they had an opening for a cleaning. (I haven't been in a while and my mom has been asking me) But thankfully somebody snatched it up before we could

Nicks girlfriend Emma also came to visit and we had one objective for the day. Get a haircut. I looked like a serious mountain man

Here is the before

And the after

We explored downtown Claremont, met some of his hometown friends, and went out to get pizza for dinner.

Day 126

We slack packed today, almost 18 miles. We did get rained on a bit but it wasn't too bad. We hiked southbound to mix it up today. Ran into a few southbounders and even saw Swanson who we haven't seen since Georgia. You would've thought we were long lost family members the way we embraced in downtown Hanover.

I looked up this sign in the woods and it seems like somebody ran into this tree while skiing and decided to put a sign up.

Nicks mom picked us up and dropped us off today. It made for a quick easy day and we got tPo shower, do laundry and eat real food again! I also tried lobster for the first time

Day 127

Nick's hometown friend Devan came to pick us up today. He slacked us 16 miles southbound again. We brought some sodas to hand out to the Nobo AT Hikers we saw. We feel bad because we are getting the royalty treatment through NH. They appreciated the sodas

We had American Chop Suey tonight and got to shower and do laundry again! We are a spoiled bunch. Tomorrow we have 10 miles to hiked before my dad picks us up for another afternoon of food drinks and laundry!

Happy Trails 🌲
