Day 112
Slept great in the hotel last night, and we got to see Luke this morning! He met up with us between shows and drove us back to the tailhead. He got to see what it's like for the resupply in the grocery store and also how smelly our hotel room gets.
We barely fit in his Volkswagen Golf but made it work. We only had 8 miles to go to the Upper Goose Pond Cabin. There's 16 bunks in a very nice cabin and it's first come first serve.
There's a caretaker that makes pancakes in the morning, a pond to swim in, two privies, water, canoes. It was a beautiful day today to hang out by the water and read. I've gotten a lot for reading done on trail and most recently finished The Martian, and the new Hunger Games book. I'm currently reading Project Hail Mary.
There were a few other people at the cabin and tenting area tonight that weren't thruhiking so they had lots of questions. It was a lot for fun chatting with them, and it's also very nice to be surrounded by New Englanders
Tomorrow we get trail magic from Papi's Parents in Dalton Mass. We've been spoiled so far and are hoping it'll continue that way.
Happy Trails 🌲
