Day 103

Every town, and person after mile 700 has now blurred together. I can't remember anybody's names, what towns we've gone to. Really starting to turn into my father. Today got hot quick, and I was absolutely drenched in my own sweat. We are going up and over Bear Mtn today, then over to Fort Montgomery.

The guy we met at the shelter last night pulled through with trail magic. He left us PBRs l, a few stouts, lots of candy and even a bag of Tootsie rolls!

I saw an absolute monster of a snake this morning too. This behemoth of a repitle has not missed a meal in a long time.

West Point is Hiccup's Alma Mater so she's very excited to visit the stomping grounds. We also got some trail magic from Papi's Uncle! He met us in the park for sandwiches and drove us to the hotel.

We decided with the heat tomorrow, that we aren't going to go far. There is a shelter/pavilion in 6 miles so we relaxed today, went out for Mexican food, and took our time.

Tomorrow we will resupply, and get back onto trail but the temperature is supposed to get back into the 90s.

Happy Trails 🌲
