Day 89

Pennsylvania sucks, there are wayyyy to many rocks here. We had around 25 miles to hike today but still only 3000ft of up per usual.

First thing in the morning, we made a pit stop at a Hostel for bathrooms and clean water. We had one big climb after this but the rest of the day was up on the Ridgeline.

Lots of small boulder fields on this section which definitely slow down the hiking pace. There are so many rocks you just have to keep your head down to not trip.

Less than 1000 miles to go

Most of the day was a fern forest with smooth walking, then it would be briefly interrupted by 200m of very rocky trail. Not enough to take a toll on my feet, but enough to break up the rhythm.

We camped at mile 1209.6 and have 12 miles into town tomorrow. Nick and I will catch a bus to Philly from Allentown and I'll spend the next few nights with Shannon in Philadelphia.

Happy Trails 🌲
