Day 31

Officially one month on trail. Time is flying by, it feels like a week ago we started hiking. Today was a biggest day on trail, 19 miles, over 5500ft of gain but we get to go over Big Bald, one of my favorites. We started the day early right after 7:00am.
Around halfway, we stopped at Hogback Ridge shelter for lunch around 11:00am
View of Big Bald in the distance. It's always daunting to see what you're walking towards.
There was trail magic in a cooler near the top, I grabbed a banana and a granola bar.
Over 10 of us made the trek to Bald Mountain Shelter.
Thankfully there were plenty of tentspots. 19 miles got us to mile 327.7, Bald Mountain Shelter. We plan on going 13 miles just before Erwin, so we don't spend extra money spending the night and buying dinner.

Happy Trails 🌲
