Day 30

Slow start this morning, the day started with a 1.7 mile uphill, followed by a Rocky Ridgeline with plenty of viewpoints. Miles came slow, but by 11:00am we were still done with half our miles for the day.
Here is the bear box at the shelter last night, where everybody put their food bags.
We found a makeshift 300 mile marker, and stopped for lunch. (Upsidedown picture)
After Lunch, we headed up and over Big Butt Mountain.
Ended up at camp around 3:00. Talked with everyone at the shelter for a long time, lots of people too. Me, Tama, Papi, Patches, Navigator, Hiccup, Kiwi, Stand Up, Frankenstein, Doc, Frogger, and Bodhi and a few more.

Exactly 14 miles hiked today, we're aiming for a big 19 mile day tomorrow with 5500+ feet of gain. Followed by a 13 mile day, then a HIRO in and out of Erwin.

Happy Trails 🌲
